This one’s for the little Alexia who delved into school as a distraction to life, the little Alexia who never felt good enough, the one who for some years barely showed up class but then feel in love with learning again. This past year hasn’t been easy but I graduated!!!

Palestinian women and their Indigenous olive trees can never ever be uprooted. That’s a fact to reckon with this International Women’s Day 🇵🇸

Maybe I'm overly sensitive bc of my line of work, but why does *every single part* of this economy feel like an obstacle course? Booking a flight, seeing a doctor, getting insurance, finding housing, taking your animal to the vet... Are people just numb to all this?

It cracks me up when people say “i know the type of person you are” you don’t. You could study me your entire life & still not know a fraction of me or who I am. Thank you

it’s ok to admit ur doing another thing ie. building a legal nonprofit, engaging in UN spaces, being an influencer/educating folks online, increasing access to green jobs, doing research, mobilizing folks for a big march etc etc etc

I see the word grassroots organizing misused so often in the youth climate activism space it’s lost all meaning

people aren’t ready to talk about how most unions are deeply problematic, up-hold the status quo, are a boys club & union leadership is so disconnected from the struggles of the working class

the nonprofits who do this were never organizing in the first place. yes they might provide a service that is helpful but unless we organize we won’t create systemic change. and the frontline organizers never had a budget to begin with so this doesn’t apply.

ICE just deported four kids and their mother to Reynosa. Two of the kids are U.S. citizens. The father, also a citizen, was left behind in Texas and says the family was waiting for a court hearing when they were suddenly taken into custody after receiving a call to reschedule. theguardian.com/us-news/2024/d…
