@tdesignerwth One step at a time! You will get there! 6 months ago I re-learned what a positive work environment was, but the past trauma still makes me hesitate daily. Good environment = good support and reassurance though.

So today is my last day in one department and Monday is the start in a new one. Super scared, but a good opportunity none the less.

@DoesitPew I feel like context is very important. Sir/madam could be used respectfully or in a condescending way. Like most things I feel it would be on a case by case basis.

I'm extremely bored and unmotivated! I get up shortly before I have to leave for work, when I get home I mindlessly browse social media and play a couple games and go to bed and repeat...weekends is just more mindless activity on my phone.

@nitya "People with diversabilities do not want to be a burden to society, but instead want to be contributors and participants in society" Yes, yes, yes! As someone with a diversability 100%. I also learned a new word today! Thanks for sharing!

@laurieontech - anxiety has helped me pay attention to the small details and I pick up on the small bugs and test out the edge cases more diligently

@laurieontech After almost a year out of tech, I applied for a dev position in gvmt, doing an assessment next week - a work in progress, but having a supportive environment is definitely helping

Ok! I’m starting it then 😂 Tonight’s conversation is about anxiety in the work place. - How has anxiety affected your career? - What are ways you handle and work with your anxiety? - How has anxiety helped you be a better dev? #DevDiscuss

Got my final grade for Intro to computational science. And must brag that I'm pretty damn proud of it. A+, my best mark ever in university and at the masters level at that!

@nitya Super busy! I went back to school in January for my masters degree and working full time. Agreed with a work in progress! Some days it's just everything gets put down it will get there when it gets there.
