I'm never quite sure if I should go with parallelism or chiasmus. Same order, or switch it up. Stylish flair, or simple blunt repetition. I'm never quite sure if I should go with parallelism or chiasmus. Stylish flair, or simple blunt repetition. Same order, or switch it up.

@CapobiaNB SL is not a dumb guy and i think his personal opposition to eating meat is genuine and respectable. I agree with him about being honest that animals are sentient beings that deserve our respect. That said, veganism is so contrary to our being that it's hard to take seriously

Recently my vegan friends asked me why our horse can’t just “eat fruits and vegetables” instead of grass and it just made me realize (bless their hearts) these folks don’t know anything about sustaining themselves off the land in a meaningful way

"Killing animals can show that you love and respect them more than people who don't want to kill them" is just one example of the incredible acrobatics taken for insight among "woke" critics of veganism.

river i hardly kno’erミ☆@ltcaulfields

@_rum_pumpumpum i had meant to say seal hunting, which is very important to inuit people. as someone who grew up learning about indigenous cultures and practices i am of the opinion that they probably love and respect animals more than most vegans who hold this opinion

@emoprog @Sturgeons_Law Killing for cultural reasons is barbaric. Just because the killer is "indigenous" doesn't change that

@emoprog @Sturgeons_Law I think the seals are more important. Barbaric cultural practices should die out

@Sturgeons_Law it's weird to view those as unnecessary deaths just because people in a completely different ecosystem can potentially survive without them

@emoprog It's not unimportant, but it's not more important than avoiding the unnecessary suffering or deaths of sentient beings.

@emoprog In many modern cases, because of the ready availability of food, the reasons are primarily cultural, and so unnecessary for survival.

@Sturgeons_Law do indigenous people who hunt animals for food kill them unnecessarily? the indigenous hunters who i am most familiar with are very careful about using the whole of the animal without waste

People who don't want to kill animals unnecessarily are, all things being equal, clearly more moral than people who kill them unnecessarily. Doesn't matter if the killers are indigenous, if it's important to their culture or religion, or anything else.
