DRC does not attack like this because it wants peace. Last night, Rumangabo was the main target of a massive FARDC strike. Missiles and drones hit homes, a market and other essential infrastructures. Innocent people are reported to have been killed while dozens were injured. Whatever narrative DRC may put forward, the facts remain clear: civilians were struck, residential areas were hit, and there is no justification for attacks that terrorise an entire population. Even when it is believed a ceasefire is being observed, these deadly attacks will not be raised or be condemned in high level sittings at the UN, US or some other roundtables in Europe, rather the moment M23 RETALIATES it is going to be a different story. Rwandan soldiers trying to regroup are being hit with precision strikes by Congolese forces. Between Friday and Sunday, at least 1,000 Rwandan soldiers were reportedly killed. Today, the situation is getting worse for Rwanda’s troops they are losing soldiers in huge numbers.
