Introducing OpenMythos An open-source, first-principles theoretical reconstruction of Claude Mythos, implemented in PyTorch. The architecture instantiates a looped transformer with a Mixture-of-Experts (MoE) routing mechanism, enabling iterative depth via weight sharing and conditional computation across experts. My implementation explores the hypothesis that recursive application of a fixed parameterized block, coupled with sparse expert activation, can yield improved efficiency–performance tradeoffs and emergent multi-step reasoning. $SE The biggest bear thesis floating around is the fear of TikTok Shop taking market share from Shopee. TikTok Shop’s market share has jumped from 4% in 2022 to 34% in 2025, with a major contribution being the acquisition of Tokopedia in Indonesia. Naturally, one would think Shopee has seen a collapse in market share. Yet, the facts remain that Shopee is not only still the market leader, but has actually gained market share since TikTok Shop’s entry into the region. 2022: 48.1% 2023: 48.1% 2024: 51.8% 2025: 52.8% This has also come at a time of profitability inflection across the business. Shopee’s take rates have continued climbing, with Adj. EBITDA margin on a constant upward trajectory. 2022: -23.2% 2023: -2.4% 2024: 1.3% 2025: 5.3% So the natural question is where exactly did TikTok Shop’s 30% market share gain actually come from? The answer is largely from the long tail of smaller, weaker platforms and Lazada, not from Shopee. TikTok Shop has consolidated a fragmented middle, while Shopee has continued strengthening at the top. The resulting competitive dynamic is one of a duopoly, which in itself is bullish for Shopee. *Market share numbers are taken from Momentum Works, and actual values may vary.
