I just finished @OfficialAcolyte and all I have to say is: It REALLY sucks that it was canceled. The potential in this show is outstanding. You have the duality of good and evil in two sisters who swapped sides, corrupt Jedi, Yoda, and DARTH PLAGUEIS!

And then you just learn to not really be invested. You can’t be, it’s a protection mechanism…So it’s sort of like, oh, okay, it was over already for me… I’m glad you liked it though. I’ve been watching the campaign to #RenewTheAcolyte since the beginning at first with curiosity and then with an ever increasing sense of awe. It’s beginning to remind me of another campaign to renew an inclusive little show that was canceled in 1969 due to low viewership. That show was called Star Trek. It was extremely progressive for its time with the first black woman in a non stereotypical role and even had the first interracial kiss on television. Calls to renew the show after its cancellation from fans have led to it becoming the worldwide cultural phenomenon that it is today. Never give up you acolytes, you are making history.

“They’ve got to stop doing this thing where they don’t say anything when people are getting fucking dog-piled on the internet with racism and bullshit. It’s just not fair to not say anything. It’s really unfair.”
“It would just be nice if the people that have all the money were showing their support and putting their feet down. Say this is unacceptable: ‘You’re not a fan if you do this.’ Make a really big statement and just see if any money leaves. I bet you it won’t, because people of colour, and especially Black people, make up a very large percentage of buying power. They might find that it’s actually more lucrative for them, but everyone’s using ‘woke’ like it’s a dirty word.”
