Been seeing a lot of posts with folks disappointed with their $ME allocation on EVM wallets. I pinged some folks at Magic Eden to ask about it. The TLDR is that if you got a retroactive airdrop of diamonds on an EVM wallet, like for past activity on OpenSea, you had to actually be active on Magic Eden “with that specific wallet” for those diamonds to convert to $ME today. So some folks might have thought they had a ton of diamonds, but didn’t use the ME protocol on those EVM wallets after claiming them. In which case those diamonds didn’t turn into anything. I can definitely understand that ME wanted to reward people who actually “used” ME. But can also see the point of folks who claimed a retroactive diamond airdrop on one EVM wallet, and then were active on others (e.g. Ordinals, SOL) and thought that activity would be aggregated and unlock credit for the EVM diamonds. Regardless, hopefully this helps folks in this situation understand what happened. How did y’all feel about your allocation?
