Hey X community, I’m looking to connect with like minded entrepreneurs who are building. If you’re building in public, I’d love to learn more about your product and explore how we can exchange insights, opportunities, jobs or collaborations. I’ll go first. I recently founded Freakyyy.com — an operator-led venture-building collective. On the front end, we support brands and founders entering Southeast Asia. Behind the scenes, we also build our own ideas — some practical, some experimental and some honestly quite random. Freakyyy Ride (freakyyy.com/rides) A solar-powered tuktuk initiative designed to give back to Mother Earth and support drivers. The goal is to help ease the pressure between driver income, rental costs and fuel expenses. Freakyyy Letters (letters.freakyyy.com A decentralized archive for unsent words. You can publish anonymous letters into the archive or send a sealed letter to a recipient that can only be opened on a date you choose. Freakyyy Portal (portal.freakyyy.com) A full AI website-builder system blueprint where users can create and export HTML code without being locked into monthly subscriptions. It also comes with access to our newsletter, where we share free hosting guides, step by step tutorials, and practical ways to sell websites. AI has made website building easier. But the hard part often comes after — hosting, selling, maintaining and avoiding unnecessary monthly costs. We still have a few more projects in progress and we’re exploring how to build better, automate smarter and collaborate more openly. We started Freakyyy with a simple edge: five operators, spread across five markets — SG, MY, KH, HK, CH. Different countries, different scars, same mission. Now we’re building the automated version of us. 🤣 He is trained on what we’ve seen, fixed, messed up and learned on the ground so the next company entering Southeast Asia doesn’t walk in blind. It’s basically a 5in1 operator brain for market entry. Before you spend, sign, hire, renovate, expand or realise too late that “should be okay” was not okay.

Giving away free letters to seed the archive! letters.freakyyy.com I know it’s not a wow product but this project means a lot to me. When our family had to leave HK due to Dad’s bankruptcy, there were a lot of unsettled stuffs and situations left behind. Friendships drifted, and I had to watch them through socials from Cambodia. They didn’t treat me any different btw but when I went back last summer, things just aren’t the same. It’s just life unfolding the way it should. Through these years, I ended up with many backspaced messages, saved notes and unsent post cards. I actually read those every night as a motivation to get back up and it helped got through the bad times faster. So I was pretty upset when I lost my phone the last time and lost some of it from yhe outdated backup. You might think that it’s dumb — given the fact that unsent messages are more often not the best memory to look back on, but I say they exist to differentiate the good times. And also make us appreciate better times even more. Not certain that anyone would be interested but if you do, do reach out. It will be complimentary with a full 100% discount voucher, as part of helping build the archive. You can choose to send it to the archive to publish straight, or send it to someone sealed and the writer gets to decide when to unseal. We chose Cambodia to build in because of the perks we see — 1. low cost $600 rental. $300 manpower. 2. room for growth (plenty. WIP, will update) It feels like a time turner situation. We are currently in the midst of supplying fmcg products to chain stores. But there were also issues. It’s a double edged sword. Less developed = unawareness of the country. 1. Perception We didn’t have the luxury of connecting with people except our own warm contacts. People think scams when they see Cambodia. My Instagram was literally banned 4 times before I gave up. LinkedIn twice but I got it back. I had my fault as well, I want to be honest 🙃 Building in here can get really boring since I have been used to bustling cities. Most nights were spend scrolling socials. I used VPN to bypass the algorithm which started filling my timeline with Khmer contents which I couldn’t relate (initially), hoping to get my HK filled feed back. Now I spent 15 mins more explaining to clients why I am not on Instagram. And the next few days thinking if they are convinced. #thirdworldproblems
