@balajis @owocki Thank you for talking about this! @androolloyd and I invented Ethereum subscriptions and built the first PoC at @EthereumDenver in 2018 - and @Groundhog was born. Since then the platform has evolved significantly, and we’re working on the newest version which I think ppl will ❤️.

We need to make Ethereum subscriptions work. There's significant progress towards an implementation thanks to @owocki and crew, but we need someone to bring it over the finish line. A $25k grant exists as an incentive to complete this. github.com/ethereum/EIPs/…

@ankurfr @balajis @owocki Yes, it is possible! In fact, this is one of the many reasons we built @Groundhog with a contract wallet-based system, so that ETH wouldn’t have to be wrapped.

This is exactly one of the reason we invented @groundhog in early 2018 and continue to build it out. Unlimited approve() is a terrible pattern. You want the allowlist and business logic on your own contract wallet side.

We all know that to allow dapps and protocols to use our funds, there is an action that we need to perform before doing anything: Approval of the transfers. Why is this action needed? The ERC20 tokens and dapps that use them implement a payment technique called pull payments.
