@father_rmv Thank you, but do they also represent the apostles like the bishops do?

@happynotes29 The only founder of the Catholic Church was Christ Himself. ‘Cardinal’ is an honorary title bestowed by the pope.

The four marks of the Catholic Church, as professed in the Nicene Creed, identify the essential characteristics of the one true Church founded by Jesus Christ. They are that His Church is one, holy, Catholic, and apostolic. The Church is one because it possesses a visible and invisible unity. It has one Lord, one faith, one baptism, and one visible head on earth, the Pope, the successor of Saint Peter. Though it includes many members, rites, and cultures, it maintains a single body of doctrine, a single sacramental life, and a unified governance under the bishops in communion with the Pope. This unity reflects the oneness of the Trinity and the prayer of Christ that all may be one. The Church is holy because it was founded by the all-holy Christ and is continually sanctified by the Holy Spirit. It teaches the fullness of truth, offers the sacraments as channels of divine grace, and has produced countless saints throughout the centuries. While individual members, including clergy and laity, remain sinners in need of conversion, the Church itself is holy in its origin, in its constitution, in its means of salvation, and its purpose, which is to make all people holy. The Church is Catholic, a word that means universal. It is not limited to any particular time, place, or people. Christ commanded the Apostles to make disciples of all nations, and the Catholic Church fulfills this mission by preaching the Gospel to every culture and generation. It possesses the complete means of salvation, including all seven sacraments and the entirety of revealed truth, and it remains open to all who seek God with sincere hearts. Finally, the Church is apostolic because it continues the mission and teaching of the Apostles in an unbroken line. It was built on the foundation of the Apostles, preserves their doctrine without alteration, and maintains apostolic succession through the bishops, who are the legitimate successors of the Apostles. The Pope, as the successor of Saint Peter, serves as the visible center of this apostolic authority. These four marks together distinguish the Catholic Church as the one true Church founded by Jesus Christ. They are not merely ideals but visible realities that have endured for two thousand years, guiding the faithful to the fullness of truth and salvation.

@gonefishin1948 Father, President Trump IS a nice guy, he just loves to mix things up which is his way of getting results. Wish he'd put a lid on some of his comments, though.

Trump may not be a nice guy, but he’s put a ton of pressure on Iran, who now wants to make a deal. Iranian leaders are in fear for their lives.

Hey everybody, update regarding my dad‘s surgery: Everything was successful, the surgeon told me that the infection was obviously not great, but it wasn’t nearly as bad as they had anticipated given how long the infection had been growing for. They cleaned out the knee, took samples of everything, and sent it into the lab for testing so we will know more once the results come back. Dad should be waking up soon and then preparing for his first session of physical therapy. Thank you to everybody for the continued prayers and support!

I ask for prayers. I have been under some oppression of the enemy. The evil one can do a lot to turn people against us, foment division and bring turmoil. Then my secretary quit and 2 cooks resigned and an aide quit. The Sister assigned to take over got sick requiring rest. I began to worry how we can manage. The fire was an added worry, but I'm just so so grateful the Sisters got out alive, I don't care about the damages. Tonight, what overtakes me is the Te Deum. I was found worthy to share some heavy crosses. Sursum corda, Mary Joseph. God is on the move.

@danarodbor @alexathallow Not my intention. Loyalty to country doesn't mean you can't criticize it but does mean having a sense of pride for your roots.

Welp - we have officially wrapped up our Lent challenge. To all of you who joined us to pray together - thank you. We poured our hearts and souls into this challenge. It's the hardest I've ever worked on anything in my life. I pray the Lord worked through it in some way. Heard so many things from different folks on the Brothers K. Some loved it. Some hated it. For anyone who got lost in Dostoevsky or found it too intense or too heavy - I'm sorry. We'll try to do something a bit more straightforward next time. Please pray for us 🙏 So proud of the team for what the Lord accomplished through them. This was the biggest thing we'd ever done. May the Lord do with it whatever He wills. Lord empty me, fill me, use me.

Happy Easter friends! Jesus is truly risen. He has destroyed death, pierced our loneliness, united what was fragmented. He has reconciled all things to Himself. He has risen and He loves us.
