Year 41 of summer seeding alfalfa. Never had a failure. But never planted into conditions this dry. With not much rain in forecast.

Dragging corn onto established corn today. Going with the rows, tractor on row crop tires and RTK. Using one 1320’ 6” draghose to go up and down the field and an older section of drag to move sideways through the field. The humper tractor keeps the hose on the row

For dairy farmer out there. How long are u supposed to keep carboard on the floor of a new to u tractor? This is 1 year just over 1000hours. It's starting to get worn out.

@jasonmauck1 We have been doing this for a while now. And it's has worked very well for us. Only had 1 year that bean yield was less then the rest. So if u have a place for the feed from rye or trit it's a no brainner.

Planted beans into wet baled triticale this year. Was our best soybeans. Let this sit for 5 weeks before the chemical pass... just kind of greened back up with a leaf sheath or 2 per plant... I liked this system. We got a lot of bales off of 25 acres. Fall manure, 60 lbs trit, 140k beans, 1 pass spray.

@RDykxhoorn My dad did the same thing. He would also save ration papers sinds they started to have rations.

Cleaning up in the office & I found my Grandpa's notebook. He did this every yr from 87 - 07. From '69 -'86 he had L per yr written down.I think I might have to go back in the archives & continue on. Kinda cool to look back.
