🚨 Trump’s “No Tax on Overtime” is a total scam. It’s NOT “no tax” on your full overtime pay. You only get a deduction on the tiny “premium” slice — just the extra 50% in time-and-a-half pay (the part required by federal law). Capped at $12,500 single / $25k joint. The rest of your OT? Still taxed as regular wages + full FICA. So if you make $20 an hour and get $30 for anything over 40 hours. You only get NO tax on the $10 an hour extra - the "premium" part of the OT. PLus it's all Temporary (ends 2028), phases out at higher incomes, and most workers get zilch. Just one more way that Trump can't be trusted and disappoints through saying one thing and knowing damn well he had no intention to really do No tax on OT!
