With returns drying up in 0DTE, looking back I'm thankful for 3 things I did 1. Focusing on diversifying outside 0DTE space. Today I run 57 setups in F&O 2. Becoming fulltime trader. Gave me time to research 3. Trading with ultra-pro-max leverage in good times. Gave me capital
Aamodh Kuthethur@GoldenDustbin

If there is one thing I want to focus on in 2025 it is allocating my bandwidth towards nullifying regulatory risk. All this while in trading I've been focusing on reducing drawdown risk and value at risk. Time to take a step back and focus on the risk created by our big daddy.

@jinit_27 I don't trade stock options. I trade stock futures. Not big slippage there.

@GoldenDustbin @AshishGupta325 Hi Aamodh, with stock options, isn’t liquidity / slippage proving to be a problem? I front tested some short vol stock option set ups, but slippage was just far too high - backtesting with 1-2% slippage also did not help.

@mohittweets @PRAFULKULKARN18 What do you think they will ultimately go with? Will fortnightly expiries be introduced or will they move directly to monthly?

@PRAFULKULKARN18 Ex-NSE here and still have relatives/close friends at NSE & SEBI. Weekly expiries will go away. You have no idea of how many distress calls/letters we get on a daily basis from families for suicides/fin mishaps due to addiction to option trading

@PRAFULKULKARN18 We should keep talking about the fact that if an ITR based barrier (5L income or more only permitted) is brought in, 76% of loss making traders will suddenly become ineligible and the objective of protecting them gets achieved. #SaveWeeklyExpiry

@SarangSood Do you think the consultation paper that SEBI will come out with will actually consider views of regular traders / brokers? Will the broker lobby actually let weekly expiries go away?

My friend’s younger brother (just 18) is hooked on every live sport stream he can bet on. If needed, he’ll stay up all night chasing scores, odds & adrenaline. Online poker, card games, you name it, he's betting everyday usually with a bunch of friends doing the same. The only thing he doesn’t gamble on? F&O. There's much help needed (if at all) elsewhere to protect the youth/retail of our nation.

@anilhudda Hi Anil bhai, I’ve been following you for a while and really respect your views and hence this question- when you traded options before the weekly expiry era, could people make ~25% a year by trading monthly expiries?

Just watched a friend scroll Insta reels from trading influencers. The flex is wild - one’s showing positions while driving a BMW, another from his farmhouse. Crypto’s keeping them busy and money rolling in even on weekends. I wonder how SEBI plans to curb this crypto mania.

@Adityakrsaha Eng will likely get to 470-480 from here. While a 100 run lead is great, we will have to score 450+ in the second innings at least. Not sure our batting can deliver that again.

@Fancricket12 McGrath was 23/24 when he debuted. Shouldn’t we be investing in younger bowling talent rather than these guys who will fade away by the time we tour England text?

McGrath. In his first 8 Tests, he averaged 43. He was smashed around at the Gabba, Boycott called him a "medium pacer". But he got bounce on a dead Sharjah deck in 1994 and then in Colombo while bowling to SRT. Potential. Test cricket is hard work, especially while bowling on a flat deck. It takes time to understand the nuances. Yes, Indian pacers mature later but it takes time...

@Fancricket12 Arshdeep is 25/26 and maybe worth investing in. Harshit Rana also maybe, alongside Kamboj. Akash Deep and Prasidh are already 27/28 and investing in them may not yield any real long term benefit. What do you think?

@Fancricket12 Don’t you think we need to invest in younger pacers then? Kamboj for example? Prasidh is 29, by the time he matures and we go to England again, he may not even be fit. Shami debuted 10 years ago (at 23) and started hitting top gear in 2018. (1/2)

India need to trust certain pace bowlers and keep faith in them. And not think of the outside noise - replace X with Y, Y with Z and then Z with A. Indian pacers generally mature a little later. They have a decent bunch but the bowlers need to develop some fast-bowling mindset. It took time with Ishant and Shami too. Bumrah was an exception.
Rohan Jyoti Kalita@RohanJyotiKali2

@Fancricket12 Since currently there are no super talented pacers in India apart from Bumrah, I think going forward selectors need to give preference to pacers who can bat a bit. In that case, the team will be able to play 4 pure pacers.
