Second day at the office and there's a big smile on my face. Here's a few advantages: ease of collaboration with team mates, lunch time conversations, clear work/life separation, not having to worry about food, the feeling of presence.

@Dragos FB spent more than $10B on these issues in the last years, has tens of thousands of people working on these issues, has built industry leading AI to take down hateful content. I agree there's room to do more, but these are hard problems that take time.

@jupanu And when I say key issues, I'm not referring to google making a shitty app, or apple making iPhones throttle. The problems that FB is causing are at a societal level, and imo they should just be investing 10x the resources. They're in an important position but not acting like it.

God, I always think it's hard for Zuck to do something that would make me hate him/his company more, but congrats to him he always manages to succeed.

@Dragos The way we built features has changed a lot in the last 3 years: the amount of processes and reviews a project has to go through is crazy. This is all to make sure the privacy, safety and well being of users is at the core of what we build.

@jupanu So many reasons, a tweet wouldn't fit all of them, but in short a platform like fb is very powerful in shaping society and they only seem to care for profits regardless of the damage they're causing. And all these side stuff from Zuck shows how "much" he cares.

@Dragos I understand that it might be seen like that from the outside. From the inside, I myself launched features that had a negative business impact, but a positive impact on safety and well being.
