I feel like there was a split second of silence between my lontong kari joke and our chuckles when I felt she understood me.

My mom just called and asked me what I had for lunch and I said lontong kari and we chuckled about it because she got the joke and we did the “mohon maaf lahir batin” via call and now I’m tearing up in a restaurant.
