My honest opinion Mt. Kenya risks very little if a Ruto/Kindiki ticket wins, but it stands to lose significantly if an outsider pairing like Kalonzo/Matiang’i — or the reverse — takes power. the seven million Kikuyu's, cannot mobilize in large numbers to elect both a president and deputy from outside their community, surrender the governorship as well, and then risk slipping into political irrelevance for the next two decades. The less risky alternative is to support William Ruto for one final five-year term — on condition that he settles on Kithure Kindiki as his running mate. That way, Mt. Kenya safeguards its foothold, rather than gambling on a new ticket that could potentially lock the region out for two full decades if both the president and deputy complete their terms — pushing any realistic return to power to around 2047.
