Dear @thejointstaff: If you follow illegal orders to commit war crimes, you will be prosecuted by a future Administration. Bombing “every single Power Plant, and every single Bridge” would violate proportionality principle and cause excessive civilian harm, which is a war crime.
Jake Tapper 🦅@jaketapper

Trump tells Iran that if they don’t agree to his “very fair and reasonable DEAL” the US will “knock out every single Power Plant, and every single Bridge, in Iran.“ Targeting civilian infrastructure is widely considered a war crime under the Geneva conventions.

When the tyrannical king of the Sassanids tore up the letter of the Prophet ﷺ in contempt, the Prophet ﷺ remarked, “God shall tear his kingdom up as he tore my letter.” We learn from the Qur’ān: “Whoever commits evil will be repaid with its like” [4:123]. While we don't gloat over anyone's sickness, we see a clear lesson here: Never invoke the punishment of God on innocent people, lest you become the subject of your own curse.

☕️The Met Police Interrogated Me Under Caution. It has long become the enforcement arm of Zionists to suppress & oppress legitimate opposition, outrage & dissent against Israel’s war crimes. Met Police isn’t interrogating & prosecuting over 2000 British Zionist Jews that serve in IDF killing babies, murdering Palestinians & Lebanese but I’m the problem? Let me put all you godless, human waste of space Zionists on notice - as God is my strength I will NEVER stop speaking out against the evil, godforsaken terrorist state of Israel and against your execution of/ complicity in manufacturing consent for its crimes against humanity✊🏾

POTUS is laying out two courses of action—a negotiated settlement, or a major escalation. There is a third option, and he should take it: recognize there is no way to force a positive outcome and simply leave. The region is not ours to fix. President Reagan chose this path in Lebanon in ‘84, withdrawing U.S. forces after the Beirut barracks bombing once it became clear the mission’s stabilization goals could not be met, effectively ending direct American military involvement and avoiding a deeper quagmire and long-term entrenchment in the region. A negotiated settlement is unlikely to work or be taken seriously by the Iranians unless we make concessions on the enrichment issue. As we saw yesterday in the SOH, the IRGC is empowered to act without the consent of the civilian leadership, so it’s likely they won’t honor any deal reached. A major escalation will lead to a very destructive outcome for Iran, the region, and eventually the U.S. If POTUS chooses brute force and targets civilian infrastructure, we will create another generation of radicalized Iranians who will rally around the regime and escalate the war by any means possible. If POTUS opts to strike the civilian infrastructure, declare victory, and then leave, we will only further erode our standing in the world, the petrodollar, and eventually our status as the world’s reserve currency holder. We need to get out now. Don’t double down on failure. Avoid the sunken cost trap, leave now, and put America’s interests first.

Candace Owens

Do not lecture me. You intentionally misrepresented the report and got community-noted. Sort of like you intentionally misrepresented the contents of the Epstein binder back when you were playing the part of a Bondi-girl. There is not a shred of proof that Tyler Robinson’s weapon was even fired on that day. The ATF did NOT hand over any analysis or data to the defense, despite your claim to the contrary, and yet despite this—you wrongly convict Tyler when you describe it as the “gun used to kill Charlie Kirk”. Try “a gun found on the day that Charlie Kirk was killed which not even the bomb dogs could detect and which had a total of six sets of fingerprints on it. Worth noting the FBI will not allow the defense to examine those alternative fingerprints for some reason”. What proof do you have that that was the gun used to kill Charlie Kirk? Or that the weapon was fired at all?
Liz Wheeler@Liz_Wheeler

It’s very important to note what tactic @RealCandaceO is using here, and why. She is deliberately misrepresenting my words, and for a reason. This is exactly what I posted: “The bullet jacket fragment recovered from Charlie Kirk’s body during autopsy matches a .30 caliber class bullet. The .30 caliber bullet matches the .30-06 rifle Tyler Robinson used to shoot Charlie Kirk. This per the ATF ballistics analysis. AND before anyone says “the ATF fabricated this”— This ATF report was filed by THE DEFENSE. Tyler Robinson’s lawyers aren’t denying this, they ADMITTED it by filing this report to the court themselves.” Let’s be very clear: the ATF report confirms the .30 caliber class bullet jacket fragment from Charlie’s body is consistent with the type of .30-06 rifle Tyler Robinson used to shoot Charlie. Which is what my original post was about. Candace claims my second sentence is claiming that the ballistics of the bullet jacket fragment retrieved from Charlie’s body during autopsy match the ballistics from the bullet that law enforcement test-fired from Tyler Robinson’s rifle. But that’s obviously NOT how anyone would interpret my words in the context of the entire post. (I also did an entire episode last week breaking down the “inconclusive” report and what it means). Which is why Candace selectively cherry-picked that sentence without the context to trick people into thinking I said something I didn’t. It’s the same tactic Media Matters uses to try to cancel conservatives. You’re familiar with it. The cherry-picked out-of-context quote that they portray to mean something entirely different. The only difference between Candace and Media Matters is Media Matters lies to trick advertisers to pull ad campaigns from their targets, while Candace is willfully twisting my words in order to distract YOU from the reality of the ATF report and how it devastates the entire house of cards Candace built by claiming Charlie couldn’t possibly have been killed by a bullet fired from a .30-06 rifle. But make no mistake, you SHOULD look at exactly what Candace doesn’t want you to see: The ATF report confirms the .30 caliber class bullet jacket fragment from Charlie’s body is consistent with the type of bullet fired by the kind of .30-06 rifle like Tyler Robinson’s rifle. And the DEFENSE filed this ATF report, which means Tyler Robinson’s attorneys aren’t denying this fact. Again, people are smart enough to recognize the nuance of the ATF report that finds that the bullet jacket fragment retrieved from Charlie’s body during autopsy is CONSISTENT with the kind of .30-06 rifle Tyler Robinson used, while the “inconsistent” result refers to the inability of the analysts to positively identity or exclude specific ballistics markings on the damaged fragment with a bullet they test-fired from Tyler Robinson’s rifle.

🇮🇱🇵🇸Holy shit, Haaretz published a list of atrocities Israeli soldiers did and saw in Gaza, and the details are stomach churning: • Soldiers pissing on a bound, blindfolded detainee while laughing and joking about October 7 • Interrogators torturing detainees by tying cable ties around their genitals • An officer executing an unarmed Palestinian who had surrendered with hands up, then covering it up as a “terrorist killed” • Widespread excitement in units over “special means” used to kill people in tunnels, while one soldier said it reminded him of the Holocaust • A tank gunning down five Palestinians crossing a line (four killed), followed by a D9 bulldozer burying the bodies in sand • Soldiers opening fire on unarmed civilians, including an old man and three teenage boys who turned out to be completely unarmed • Looting Palestinian homes, burning photos, and urinating on personal belongings for fun The impact back home has been brutal. Soldiers are throwing out mirrors because they can’t look at themselves. Others are breaking down crying in public. Many are struggling with suicidal thoughts, shame, and nightmares. These soldiers will carry this for decades. Heavy, painful reading.

Olodo In the 1980s, Nigeria was pushed into Structural Adjustment Programs by the IMF/World Bank. SAPs forced government to slash spending on public infrastructure such as power, water, health, education. Who designed those conditions? Washington consensus institutions with US Treasury fingerprints all over them. NEPA didn’t fail by accident. It was defunded by policy. Now zoom out to Nepal. Nepal sits on some of the most powerful river systems on earth. Hydroelectric potential that could power the entire subcontinent. Yet they remain one of the poorest countries in Asia, dependent on foreign aid, foreign expertise, foreign approval. Why? Because energy independence is geopolitical power. And powerful neighbors (with US backing) don’t want a self-sufficient Nepal. Two countries. Two continents. Zero electricity sovereignty. The CIA doesn’t need to cut your light. They just need to make sure you never build the switch. But because you can’t read not think objectively, you make careless tweets without realizing how hopeless you are.
