Kevin González is only 18. He is suffering from stage 4 colon cancer and has days to live. He’s desperate to spend his last moments with his parents, but ICE detained his mom and dad after they tried to seek humanitarian asylum. ICE targeted elementary school students, Victor and Monserrat, and their stepmother, Maria Betania, at the bus stop in San Antonio. Now, they are locked away at the Dilley trailer prison. I met with them at Dilley yesterday. They gave me notes to give to their father—they miss him, their classmates and teachers. Children belong at home and at school. We won’t stop until we shut down Dilley and #FreeOurChildren.
