@bytegore She DID previously harass and incite harassment towards a translator for making a decision she didn’t like. It’s deleted now unfortunately, but here are some replies I found telling her to stop. A lot of the people in her server were heavily involved in previous discourse too.

Pretty cover but ruined the mood to even celebrate because of the issues with the translation. Good for people who don't care but bad for the fans who actually love and care about the book

They’ve also done union busting which is illegal in the U.S.

@leafstar1182 @CinnamonRoll64 @rinaXxiaochi For this part I don’t think it’s an issue to refer to him as a judge, only if they ALSO refer to him as arbiter/supreme judge or something to differentiate between him and his underlings but again we don’t know what they’ve done yet.

@joojkyung @CinnamonRoll64 @rinaXxiaochi They also decided having Lu Feng as just a judge when arbiter really is the best title for him. We also don’t know what other liberties they’ve taken since no one actually has the physical book.

@joojkyung @CinnamonRoll64 @rinaXxiaochi Also the translators gave god awful reasoning, with multiple Chinese people saying what exactly is wrong with it on a technical level, so maybe go look into those instead of blindly believing people who wanted to be “unique” through another person’s work.

You do have a right to complain. And they have a right to publish it the way they want. I dislike the issues with the name and judge. But they said they aren’t changing it. I can’t do anything about it. I still want the book and the name isn’t a deal breaker for me. I understand some ppl might not want to support that and they’ll not purchase the book. But I personally am going to buy it bc I can deal with it. Having the book in English in my hands is more important to me.
