I am glad Trump voters are getting what they voted for. It was obvious Trump was going to be a disaster, and yet, they failed the easiest open book test ever and voted for him anyways. However, it’s unfortunate that other half of the country has to deal with their incompetence.

There is, for good reason, a lot of discourse about Challenger tonight, but I have found that people often forget about the Columbia disaster. This is likely due to a variety of reasons, including the fact that it occurred while the country was at war in Afghanistan and just days away from invading Iraq, all while still reeling from 9/11. Plenty of Americans want to be doctors. Our medical schools require 4.0 GPAs and 528 MCAT to get in and those with a 3.5 science GPA don’t get in. This is drastically different than the medical school requirements 30 years ago. American taxpayers pay for resident salaries at hospitals through Medicare. And 30% of resident spots (which are extremely limited) go to non Americans who went to schools that are easier to get into than American medical schools. I don’t understand how people think this is fair or normal
