hilarious that even in the series where everyone is talking about how disappointing he was, Mikko Rantanen cannot help himself but have 7 points in 6 games.

@goodgameurdone @tebzafc this also isn’t true. tons of evidence of people surviving bad injuries and being cared for during those injuries. less likely obviously but it wasn’t an automatic death sentence like you’re implying

@luhbrix Great player but not a good player developer. Same with most of the boys club running management

I think some are grossly missing the point on why people are upset about James Hagens not being in the lineup It’s not necessarily whether he plays (or not) — it’s really more about the misdirection from management on what the goals and priorities are for this franchise People are weary on how Boston handles its prospects so excuse us for being a bit ‘sensitive’ on the subject I don’t think anyone would be upset if James Hagens was sitting out on the 2013, 2019, or 2023 teams — there’s logic there. The ability to watch HOF’s with a Stanley Cup on their resume execute when the pressure is on is invaluable for a young player’s development However, that’s not your 2025-2026 Boston Bruins, not even in the same stratosphere. This season should have always been about progression, growth, and transition. Boston teams don’t “tank”, that much is obvious and acceptable — but to simply abandon the idea of developing your prospects is quite the choice. Instead, you go out and sign Mikey Eyssimont, bring in Alex Steeves, and bring back Sean Kuraly (who we all adore). You punt on exploring trade scenarios on guys who are most likely not part of your nucleus (Casey Mittelstadt, Andrew Peeke, and Viktor Arvidsson) — Essentially blocking a path for your own young guys. Whether any of your prospects can play or not is anyone’s guess, because quite frankly, they never get anything more than a cup of coffee — the Riley Tuftes and Max Jones of the world get the free pass though? Makes sense (sarcasm). There are reasons why Chris Pelosi and Ryan Walsh chose to go back to school and why Andre Gasseau and Oskar Jellvik pivoted towards UFA status — no one is saying they’re grade-A guys but the the subliminal message was clear: There’s not a lot of trust in Boston’s development process and people are paying attention. That said, I don’t expect Boston to fumble Dean Letourneau and Will Zellers when both push to turn pro next spring but the confidence is not relatively high. #NHL #BRUINS #NHLBRUINS

Should James Hagens play game 6 in the Bruins-Sabers series? @HackswithHaggs doesn’t think so: “Mikey Eyssimont, Alex Steeves there's zero doubt in my mind they are bigger helps towards winning a game in the playoffs than James Hagens right now.”

@BizNasty2point0 Biss, My bad. I played in the 80s and 90s and I didn’t realize the NHL offsides rule was changed in 2020. This offsides rule change differs from USA Hockey, Olympic Hockey and Traditional Hockey Rules. We always had to toe drag when the real tough guys played the game.

The 2025-26 Vézina Finalists have been announced: Vasilevskiy, Sorokin, Swayman. Disagree? You're not alone. Here's who four analytical models - including the HockeyStats.com model and three proprietary ones used by NHL teams - have as their top 5 by goals saved:

@luhbrix @Hockey_Robinson @PeterTenkrat Poor results in a short tournament that’s largely random doesn’t inherently mean the program did things wrong. Good teams lose all the time, this sport is highly random.
