If religion had anything to do with it, that probably was down to the individual wanting to use it as moral justification. In my experience Catholicism can be rather rigid in terms of personal lifestyle

@fanxymix @FaruzansWife im an animist indigenous person who was raised separately from religion so all of this is my experience from the outside. it can feel like ppl who follow abrahamic religion are victims of a complete mental reconstruction that removes your intuition and relationship with the earth
