#DeadlineWH Well, schools and banks are closed today, but how else are people honoring #MLKDay? Miss him so much…. Parents went to hear him speak 4 times since late 50s. NYC, DC & Oxford UK. Always returned home so inspired.

On my way home tonight the person driving the snowplow truck saw I was struggling while trying to drive in the snow. He waited for me at the top of each hill to make sure I made it. On the last hill he stopped to see how much further I had to go. He didn’t know anything about me. He just saw someone who was struggling and decided to make sure they were alright! That my friends is what God’s love looks like in human form.

Dad integrated DE summer youth church camp 1952. Never mentioned it until month he died 1995. Asked if I knew why neighbor Joyce Heath stopped attending camp. Due to his decision. #MorningJoe

#MorningJoe So glad in 1954 the Wilmington DE schools immediately integrated. In May all the kids from Black elementary schools toured the white Jr Hi. Didn’t even realize state was segregated due to Canadian parents ALWAYS involving us in integrated activities. Love everyone!
