People stopped having kids because they can’t afford a house, can’t afford childcare, and work 50hrs a week just to survive. Australia isn’t running out of people. There are more Australians alive today than ever before. Low birth rates mean people are choosing quality over quantity a smaller, wealthier, more educated population isn’t a crisis, it’s an evolution. And let’s not forget 1.48 fertility rate but record immigration. Australia’s population is still growing. This ‘collapse’ narrative doesn’t add up. Fix the cost of living first. Then talk about birth rates
