The money in question is staggering - over R13 million for medical jumpsuits and more than R1 million for surgical masks, all paid out of public funds during a national crisis. Despite the ruling, the duo have pushed back, arguing that the goods were delivered and used, insisting the state cannot “retain the benefit” while reclaiming the money. UPDATE | Zvikomborero Makedenge (33), a US-based woman, who was accused of sexuaIIy assauIting a ‘16’ year-old boy in Glen View, has been acquitted today. No details of the court’s decision have been released yet. Makedenge, who was the girlfriend of a tenant living in the complainant’s house, was alleged to have followed the young boy to his room on 2 August 2025 this year and forcibly had sexuaI intercourse with him without his consent.
