Spent some time on stream today going over the latest Zenless tier list on Prydwen, then decided it'd be easier to just create a separate visual to explain the current state of the game instead. TLDR; I believe this is a more accurate representation of where the DPS sit.

In my recent ZZZ animation appreciation post So many people replied with "Only plays Gacha games" Although yes I was talking in Gacha space only but even outside Gacha space, there aren't many games rivaling ZZZ 3D Animation

@spinelessaisha @FlamsCraiyo If you are planning to make a small, bispoke static scene, that can often easier to make it all in just blender. But if you’re making a larger level, or a level with a lot of repeating pieces/tiles, it be easier to make the parts in blender and assemble it in the engine

@Iyokuu The game seems fine on EN socials. The official posts seem to be hitting, with even Cissia getting more views in a lot of cases than the individual AoD girls, who were really big. The Special Programs aren’t used for ads so they’re a good gauge of interest for a patch (zzz/hsr)

Before I answer this, I really need you guys to let go of mobile revenue charts as the sole dictator on a game performing better/worse. That shit is a horrible metric outside of rage bait videos and arguing with 12yr olds. It is genuinely the dumbest fucking metric to ever bring up in a discussion. Games will be in the green for months and still EOS because of some undisclosed reason (also vice versa). Anyway- Based on the interest levels across media platforms (like I said in my OG post). This typically includes metrics like viewership, engagement, play activity, online forums, etc. I'm not listing everything it entails, you'll have to research more on your own. From my own post, I mentioned viewership/interest in relation to any social media platform outside JP, but predominately EN/GL. Compared to previous character releases, patches, or just overall what's happening in the game... There has been a large decrease in interest overall towards Zenless. Obviously, this doesn't mean nobody like [insert your random friend here] isn't playing the game, but it does mean there's a noticeable decline in the overall reception of whatever Zenless has been doing the last 2-3 patches (possibly more) in an online space. Despite what Twitter/Reddit likes to tell you doesn't matter, those metrics like viewership, play activity, and overall interest levels are extremely important to Devs. Perfect example is Among Us. Game was out for 2yrs, barely changed, and no one knew what it is until notable streamers made it popular.

Buddy… we’re not the ones hating on this. The ZZZ community isn’t even mad about that. If anything, we’re annoyed at those people too. It’s not us constantly complaining about every update, it’s mostly other Hoyo players, not even WUWA players if we're honest. You’ve got Genshin Impact / Honkai: Star Rail players larping as Zenless Zone Zero fans just to show up and talk trash, even though they’ve never actually played the game. Check their accounts — it’s usually an HSR profile picture with a ZZZ UID that has like 4–12 total login days or sometimes they themselves admit that they do not care for ZZZ. They’ll say “Season 1 was peak,” but they never even reached Sons of Calydon or anything close to that. The actual ZZZ community is still one of the best in the gacha space. People who try to bring that same toxic mindset from other games don’t really get power here. If they did, you wouldn’t even be able to post something like a Wise harem ship without it getting mass-harassed. But that doesn’t happen, because those people are still (thankfully) a small minority here. And that’s very different from what you see in Genshin or HSR, where even something as simple as a straight ship fanart can get flooded with hate. I’m not saying you can’t dislike the trailer, you’re absolutely allowed to have your own opinion. But at the very least, you should know who Sunbringer actually is before hating on her “new design.” Most people don’t even manage that basic step. We are better. And we should keep it that way.

@svadrb @SebAaltonen Yes! I work in VR visualisation and Gaussian splats offer some very nice advantages over traditional light baking! I can preserve reflections within geometry!

Gaussian splat rendering is similar to the Media Molecule Dreams PS4 splat renderer one decade ago. Similar point sprite particle renderers existed in old-school demoscene productions. Both compute shader and raster based splat rendering exist, and neither uses tensor cores. There's no AI in the splat rendering. It's a pure traditional graphics algorithm. Color data is SH, not neural compressed. But there's a reason why gaussian splats are popular in the AI field: Gaussians are differentiable. You can use back-propagation and similar to optimize them. Hard-edged triangles are not differentiable. There's a discontinuity.

@AustinLinto11 There aren’t any void hunters in HSR that can clear all end game modes like in ZZZ. So, in some of the end game modes in HSR, you genuinely have to plan/know what you’re doing if you want a max rating even if you’re a f2p/low spender

Why go HSR players keep saying their endgame is harder than zzz ? 😭😭😭 The only reason they have hard endgame is because the boss hp keeps going up. Unless hsr players know about a third button that somehow ups the skill ceiling by 1% I don’t see where y’all are going with this

@Rickslx @mylabfafol When you continue to fatten up the hp of enemies while simultaneously providing zero upgrades for agents it becomes a big issue. For example an Alice who scored 40k on fiend on release would only score about 20k pre Nangong and that’s quite annoying if you ask me

@mylabfafol this convo is so confusing because people will say this, then you find out they're talking about killing in DA and not just clearing with 6stars. It's like when HSR players complain about how ruined MoC is then you find out later they cleared in 1-2 turns instead of 0.

for some reason zzz is giga buffing enemy hp but the power level of the new units isnt that high compared to the old ones so we got small powercreep but gigantic hp inflation so now every fucking character feels awful even the shilled ones what are they doing 😭

So the strongest phone at the time was an iphone11-12 and they were probably targeting iphone8 at the low end, which means they need to build for those specs and storage.

And while some may be about the character-based, psychological horrors of mecha, its 100% not the common mecha trope
