Okay. - it doesn't adequately explain how the safe pocket works - it doesn't explain the workshop upgrade system - it doesn't explain how hatch keys work - it doesn't explain that players OVERWHELMINGLY want you to be cooperative and will bitch you out in VOIP for shooting at them - it doesn't explain that joints on walking arc are weak points - it doesn't explain the differences in light, medium, and heavy ammo types - it doesn't adequately explain the difference between a minor event and a major map event (I know this to be true because I had to explain this shortly after release in a video to help people understand the ranking system). I could continue, but I think you get the point. Arc is a good game. I actually love that game. But lets not pretend that they just held your hand through every little thing and Marathon was suddenly this bastion of insurmountable lack of understanding that shied people away from bothering with it. People just don't want to get their ass kicked in PvP bro. It's not that deep.

Ok... I'm doing a video on this, but: -the spores from the fungus that killed dr. song AND -the anomaly wall AND -the compiler in cryo AND -2 rampant AI on the surface of tau ceti AND -the cult of the tau ceti colony AND -NuCaloric ALL knowingly or uknowingly worked together to wipe out the humans on Tau Ceti. Both the anomaly and the spores on the planet's surface are sentient, and I believe are of the same "mind" (read: "influence"). Video will be published next week. It's 21 minutes long. It's tracked in its entirety and it's the MOST INTERESTING thing I've looked into in "nu Marathon's" lore.

@itrapik That is literally the entire point of marathon. If they add a PvE mode, the OVERWHELMING majority of the playerbase that are PvP centric will quit en masse decrying marathon an easy game for babies. There are a TON of PvE extraction games and modes waiting for those people
