Generally, Lewis George says the council needs to focus on short-term investments that can fight long-term problems. "We can build a city, but if we displace Black residents in the process, then who are we building the city for?" she asks.

.@CMLewisGeorgeW4 also cites ERAP and SNAP funding as priorities for the budget. "When we look at things that would make a difference right now, for me that looks like ERAP. We know rent continues to rise and people are struggling to meet those needs," she said.
