Fund managers had reduced their exposure to financials and IT Financials trade at a discount to their long term average. To compare 10 year average in oil is unfair as all past omc were burdened with subsidizing others. Consumer is more or less as it has been though growth had slowed and GST is seen by some as a trigger. Many sectors are also below long term average. Many funds including mid cap fund of this very brokerage is rocking the mkt returns. Most sitting outside are subject to heavy inflows and mkt is reacting to good news. It did a pre GST rally. In a similar turn one can say despite USA tariffs, geopolitical, highest shorts ever by fii, fii selling in cash, dollar at its high that impacts fii portfolios, record ipo participation by funds markets bounced back well since March lows too. 😊
