Trucks have made nonsense of the dual carriageway at Port Reitz. Its a parking bay. There will never be enough road network with such mindset . CFS's were meant to decongest the port , any good reason why empty containers MUST be stored next to the port ? Very initial plan was to locate CFS's in Mariakani let alone now that we have a working SGR. Well we live in a broken system.

#TBT 14th Jan 2021 I was part of a pool of journalists covering Bobi Wine voting at the Magere Freedom Square just outside of Kampala. After this he returned home and his compound was surrounded by police and inaccessible for the next few days. (Retweet if you spot me) #FocusOnAfrica

This video should haunt every Kenyan with a heartbeat. An old man, grey-haired, old enough to be an elder, ripping a door off a house and leaving a mother and her child naked to the world. Then he opens his mouth and threatens to pour buckets of human waste on them. Not an animal. A man. A Kenyan. A so-called Christian. Let that sink in. A mother clutching her child, exposed, humiliated, terrified not because of war, not because of floods, but because poverty has turned us against our own people. Yes, rent must be paid. But when did rent become more sacred than human dignity? When did money become more important than a child’s safety? When did we decide that desperation deserves punishment instead of mercy? This is not just about one cruel landlord. This is the face of a broken economy. This is what the high cost of living looks like. This is what happens when food is expensive, jobs are gone, stress is everywhere, and leaders sit comfortably while citizens eat each other alive. Churches are full. Bibles are carried. Crosses hang on walls. But where was Christianity in that moment? Where was humanity? Where was peace? If poverty is not violence, then explain this video. To Kenyans of good will: this woman and her child need us now. Not speeches. Not tweets. Action. Let us find them. Let us protect them. Let us give them a fresh start and prove that this country still has a soul. Because if we normalize this kind of cruelty, then tomorrow it will be your door, your child, your dignity on the ground. A nation is not judged by its GDP. It is judged by how it treats the weakest. And right now, Kenya should be ashamed.

@SokoAnalyst With the right data collection strategy, @ntsa_kenya can move from descriptive reporting to predictive safety analytics — identifying root causes and enabling targeted interventions (e.g., licensing reforms, targeted enforcement, infrastructure upgrades). Currently its pure PR!

Accidents on Kenyan roads are not caused by defective cars or unroadworthy vehicles. 90% of Kenyan drivers do not know how to drive. They have no idea how to use our roads. They just know how to move their cars from paint A to point B. They have no idea that the car on your right has the right of way. Corruption, incompetence, ineptitude, poor road design, poor road maintenance are the top leading causes. We need to go back to retrain all the drivers in Kenya.
