There's a reason why so many companies aren't listed on NSE. He just made a brilliant explanation why.

@FinanciallyInc @FlyJambojet During lockdown I begun a Saturday party on ZOOM. It went on every weekend for 1.5 years and even got sponsored by a "major mobile network operator". 70% of the audience was Kenyan diaspora from 10 countries. It still happens occasionally too🙌🏾 (Nov 15th coming up!)

During lockdown, Karanja Ndegwa and his @FlyJambojet team created a new route from Msa to Ksm, bypassing Nairobi’s restrictions. Two years later, it’s still one of the busiest routes. What bold idea did you or your team come up with during lockdown that still lives on today?

@RobertAlai Citizens get what they deserve. This county, since independence has had charlatans as its leader. This will not change, as long, as the country's and county's culture doesn't change. We are, who we elect!

Regarding the Nairobi governorship, as someone who has now experienced the executive and the assembly and, at least, understands it, I think we are missing the point. I disagree with the President. The problem with Nairobi isn't a lack of money. It has never been a lack of money. Nairobi generates enough revenue to fund not only its operations but also to loan to other counties within the metropolis. Nairobi's main problem is the dominance of political parties and the belief that it is a going concern that should be exploited quickly, as everyone belongs elsewhere and not in Nairobi. We don't treat Nairobi as the special city it is to the country. Nairobi lacks dedicated and visionary leadership. It doesn't need the panga-wielding, cocaine or even the pouch-tobacco addicts who now manage it. Nairobi needs someone who can visualise the city in the next 100 years, understand its cosmopolitan composition, and recognise that it can't be treated as an ethnic enclave or trophy that the Luos, Luhyas, Kikuyu, Maasai, or any ethnic community must conquer and dominate at the exclusion of everyone else. Nairobi Governor MUST be someone who can run the United Nations. Must be someone who can sit in the cabinet and provide clarity of vision and policy away from the ethnicised mindset common in our politics. Moses Kuria, Babu Owino, Johnson Sakaja, etc, are not going to help Sakaja whether you elect them to punish Alai, Ruto, Raila or whoever. You elected Sakaja because he had dimples. Now you want to elect Babu Owino because he can shout Tibim and Tialala and think that you are sorting the Nairobi problem? Why do we mess with the city?

#AbojaniTrueStorySeries REBUILDING IN MY 40s I’m 44 now. Some nights, I lie awake wondering where all the years went. When I graduated from The University of Nairobi back in 2004, Nairobi felt like it was mine to conquer. I landed a decent job at a local bank straight out of campus. I had come from a very humble background and so that first salo hit hard. It was like gold for me and I knew my life was going to finally change...

@NjeriBt All this happened, when the state actors were dead asleep...because, anthropology was trashed, because, specific state units, that are supposed to strategically position culture / influence a nation's mindset, were completely forgotten.Serves everyone right, that we are here!

Young ppl seek significance. That need to matter is the entry point. Social media algorithms amplify outrage, creating echo chambers. Rage becomes viral, memes, hashtags, peer validation. Emotional contagion kicks in. What starts as significance seeking, becomes radical identity.

Seen David Ndii allude to Gen Z and their doomsday cult trajectory. He's not far off. Older generations, Gen Z parents, have cheered on these kids with little or no understanding of what programming has taken place in these kids' wiring.
