@jeffrey_way I lean heavily on using IIFEs within the template block - this pattern can move a lot of the logic into the template scope eg. stuff you would want evaluated in a loop, and seems to satisfy most cases where you might want multiple components per file.

So are multiple Vue components within a single file a thing that's ever going to happen? I haven't followed the discussions on this. I constantly run into situations where it would be useful.

@hugorcd @vercel @nuxt_js @nuxt_hub @Cloudflare Thanks. Looking for confidence in doubling down on cloudflare infra for an app in a critical stage of scaling over coming months, using various other cloudflare features (R2 blobs etc). Nuxtlabs investing in developing cloudflare integration in next few months in jeopardy?

@robinbeatty @vercel @nuxt_js @nuxt_hub @Cloudflare Here is Sébastien's vision for the future of NuxtHub. As for NuxtHub and Cloudflare, the aim is to make NuxtHub as agnostic as possible, so we'll have to see exactly how we go about that!

So, what does the @vercel x @nuxt_js partnership unlock for the community? A LOT. Get ready for an insane amount of previously "Pro" features, now open-source and free for everyone: 🎁 100+ Nuxt UI Pro components & an extremely comprehensive Figma Kit 🎁 7+ Pro templates (SaaS, Portfolio...) 🎁 A self-hostable, CMS with real-time collaboration (Nuxt Studio) 🎁 A self-hostable admin (NuxtHub) and deeper integrations with Vercel's Marketplace (Postgres, Redis...) 🤖 Deeper AI integration (enhancing v0 Nuxt / Vue capabilities, MCP & more) with Vercel's AI teams This is a massive win for the entire ecosystem. The future is open 💚

@adamwathan Adobe GoLive was the sweet spot. It had this elastic pickwhip feature where you could reference files - I’ve imitated it in loads of UIs since.

It's 2014. You're writing code in Sublime Text, managing projects in Trello, and building UIs with Bootstrap 3. You don't know it yet, but this is as good as things will ever get, and it's only downhill from here.

Are you STILL using Vercel? If not, what alternative hosting solution has won your loyalty for deploying your applications? Share your experience! What made you switch? Performance gains? Cost savings? Better developer experience?

@MichaelThiessen @vuejs People should sing about destructured computed more - I’d say one of the main perceived limitations of vue if you’re coming from the react world is the idea of two-way data-binding and this excellent feature is the way to control it gracefully.

Computed refs are cool and all, but did you know you can create writable computed refs in @vuejs?

@RoryStewartUK When LED lights were invented, everyone thought it would mean less energy consumption, but we bought more LEDs. The availability of cheaper models, inevitably models run locally, will be outstripped by greater adoption. Jevon’s paradox.

Many more unpredictable things need to be worked out. AI, which is cheaper and less energy intensive, may paradoxically lead to more adoption, which may in fact increase energy consumption. American trade wars may still make it difficult for other countries to adopt Chinese AI.

DeepSeek has just inverted in an instant some of the most fundamental assumptions about the U.S. lead in technology, the global economy, and the future of energy. It has upended basic predictions from Silicon Valley and the Trump administration on the U.S. lead in the global economy. And it has done so almost overnight. What next….?

In @nuxt_js if I do a client-side navigation from page A to page B, but page B throws an error in the setup, why is no error thrown? If you navigate directly to page B (so the error is thrown on the server) it renders the error page as expected. Otherwise, you have to use NuxtErrorBoundary to capture the error. Here's a reproduction: codesandbox.io/p/devbox/route…

@jacobandrewsky @vuejs We built many apps with just Refs as we couldn’t figured out the difference and we never experienced any drawbacks

@adamwathan Option A seems the most intuitive currently but feel like option C would help nudge us all be more mindful of the variety of devices and implications.

Working on `pointer: fine` and `pointer: coarse` variants for v4… Will I regret getting cute with the names `pointer` and `touch`? 🤔

@adamwathan Yeah actually yes. This can be a bit of a pest especially with lot of breakpoints. Most of the time I want to define leading per breakpoint. How about a util like leading-inherit to determine the current way it works - as can see a use case but it’s not the majority.

In Tailwind, every font size utility includes a sensible default line-height for that size. But this means that even if you explicitly set `leading-tight`, a class like `lg:text-2xl` will override that line-height at `lg` screens. I can "fix" this — would it be better?

@adamwathan @CraftCMS is wonderful, and ultra flexible under the hood. Kind of one step abstracted from laravel if you want to be in php world. Easy self generating graphql api for headless projects.

I’ve been using a fjallraven backpack since college due to inertia alone, but given that I’m turning 30 soon, it’s definitely time to retire it. Twitterverse, who’s got a backpack they love? Looking for something work-friendly, not tiny (fits a laptop or two), and looks decent.
