I think the problem is collectivism. E.g. having your hand in someone else's pocket, telling people what they can and can't do in the absence of harm to others, etc... Boomers are all about that, and while they aren't the only ones, their voting has stopped individualistic alternatives. Why don't you educate me about what the real problem is?

There's nothing mutually exclusive about pointing out how terrible boomer behavior has been with criticizing politicians, outsourcing CEOs, and jews and catholics who are pushing to bring in the whole third world. You are the one who can't make a cogent point without insults. If boomers weren't literal sociopaths, they would have eliminated social security 30 years ago when its problems were well known and they had the votes to do so. Even investment in bank CDs would have dwarfed conventional returns of SS. Just because it was started before they were born doesn't mean they couldn't have addressed the obvious problems. Instead, it was more "f you and pay me". They not only didn't fix anything, they expanded it and made it politically untouchable.

I'm talking about huge societal trends that the boomers greatly advanced, not just a few actions and pieces of legislation that the earlier leftists pushed. Where was the backlash against the factories moving overseas or the largest government in the history of the world? It has been with gen x and the millennials, not with the boomers. I'm not pretending anything. I've seen what they do and have done for decades. The immigration amnesties, the outsourcing of our workforce and manufacturing, the voting for larger and more intrusive government are all legacies of the "gimme mine and F you" . If anything, we've been too forgiving of the boomers.

@DBradley08 @RachelMcadm You don't know that I think that. I don't and never wrote it. The younger generations are much less likely to watch broadcast TV, including news. Boomers have, more than other cohorts, given us ever-growing and -invasive government and the inflation that goes with it.
