If they did...whoa...the penalties would be HUGE! Massive fines & jail time for the leaders would deter them using fly-by-night huckster 3rd parties, too! \s

Ideally it would be fully private. Right now an airport authority can hire a private agency to do security but the agency has to adhere to TSA "standards". Fully private would mean each airport decides which level of security it wants or needs. Some regional airport in Tennessee doesn't need magnetometers and nude-o-scopes. Maybe just a "bouncer" setup where someone checks your ticket and ID and off you go. For the record I would trust the bouncers I know to handle airport security over TSA. "B..but but I got a ticket!" "Not tonight you don't, come back tomorrow..." Meanwhile the 6 foot blonde walks in and gets some free drinks. Trust me, it works.

If you are an American currently stuck in line at the airport, you should keep three things in mind: 1) Democrats shut down DHS to stop illegal aliens from being deported. 2) Shutting down DHS had zero effect on funding for immigration enforcment. 3) Democrats have said they will not re-open DHS unless ICE no longer has the power to detain criminal illegal aliens. The Democratic Party, quite simply, cares more about protecting foreigners than representing Americans.
