My favourite shipwreck in Colombo (a 100+ metre ex-container ship), has had 2 of its 3 masts collapse in the last couple of monsoons. For those of us who dive there, these are real losses. The Sierra, for us, is an icon of Colombo's seascape. Now we're down to the last mast.

I hear you! Remote/hybrid works amazingly for some. But for many, especially in countries where infrastructure or job types don’t support remote work, the 9–5 is still the most practical setup. One size doesn’t fit all. But I think the bigger issue is: we shouldn’t shame people who do work traditional 9–5s. Different paths, different needs.

@senalidesilva 9–5 office hrs are outdated. Why waste 8hrs in a cubicle + 2hrs commuting just to “look busy”? WFH/Hybrid lets you work when you’re productive, skip traffic, and give control of your time. Office ≠ productivity. Time ≠ output. Thts y many Western countries adapt hybrid models.

Not everyone has the opportunity to chase entrepreneurial dreams and that’s okay. I genuinely don’t get when we started hating on 9–5s. It’s a stable, honest way to build a life.
