Happy Halloween all! Enjoying some post work Belgian Ales this afternoon. Bosteels Brewery Tripel Kameliet 8.4 %. Fruity and velvety but with the expected tickely carbonation. Low bitterness with a nice dry finish. Barely notice the ABV. What say ye @BeerGuysRadio? Cheers!

@sessionbeer @DingsBeerBlog I see. I read your post on this. You definitely have a strong opinion on it. 🙂 I respect regional differences, especially European tradition in beer. I didn't realize there were good beers under 4% until I started exploring British beers & some of their American made immitators.

@LetUsDrinkBeer1 @DingsBeerBlog I have no idea what he says about this beer in particular, our beef goes back to the beginning of Notch which I suppose might be 15+ years ago when labeled ber over 4% as @sessionbeer. It isn’t. We are at 180 degrees.

@beercruncher Is MAD to think that Stone, and a beer like that, was going to be in the midst of the zenith of US contemporary brewing, but that’s exactly what it was. And I hate Black IPAs!

The 2024 iteration of the @GABF is a disorienting, immersive experience where beer is not the central draw but a companion. The layout is a baffling maze, with each turn offering something new or odd, including pitch darkness. Saw lots of smiling and engaged attendees.

@beercruncher The tremendous irony here is that on one hand there has never been more data, and on the other the consumers have never been more poorly informed and ignorant about beer.

Reading the Mail (so you don't have to) is an increasingly surreal experience. They didn't just excuse the depravity & incompetence of Boris Johnson when he was PM, they rewarded him with a lucrative column when he wasn't. Yet their attempts to denigrate Starmer for not much at all are *already* completely hysterical. Page after page of spluttering vitriol. What will they have left if/when he really messes up?
