The controversy is that many believe the site, much like the disputed Gyanvapi Mosque, stands on the remains of an earlier Hindu temple dedicated to Adinath, which was allegedly demolished during the Sultanate period. What has angered many further is that the photographs were taken beside visible carvings resembling a bow and arrow symbols that many associate with Sanatani heritage. From the highest offices to the common street, the deeper reality remains the same people often reveal their civilizational loyalties through what they choose to celebrate.
