I worry that football is running away from sporting merit, and towards entertainment for entertainment’s sake. Giving a team that finishes 8th over 46 games the chance to win promotion really devalues the league. It’s like saying the Championship’s not good enough to stand up on its own merit, it needs these wacky twists. This is serious competition, that people have trained their whole lives for. Yes, parts of it are less exciting than others, but you need to go through those parts in order for the big Jimmy Glass, Coppinger, Deeney moments to really mean something. If you want uninterrupted drama, watch a soap opera. This is our game and we take it seriously - that’s precisely why those moments matter.

@markpougatch @andy_littlefair They need to do that with all 90 overs from the start of the day then. Can’t pick and choose when to apply different rules. If it’s entertainment you want, one over with that drama was probably more exciting than two overs would have been.

However long a Champions League/Six Nations game lasts at least they play the allocated time. The attitude of everyone involved at the elite level of Test cricket- players, administrators, umpires - is a total insult to the hard working paying public. #TestCricket

@simonthexton @malstar79 Yes but it’s not a reciprocal “deal” if one set of fans get a discount and the other one doesn’t because why would we bother doing it in the first place?

I’d be fuming as Blackburn fan. Agreed a £20 reciprocal deal with Huddersfield but with Leeds they’ve seen their big payday with 7,300 away fans and are willing to let their own be charged £45 at Elland Road. 💀

Reminder for when Rovers fans are charged £45 a ticket. Leeds operate on a reciprocal basis. If you don’t over charge their fans, they don’t over charge yours. Waggott had the opportunity to make a deal for affordable tickets for all and instead took the money.

@simonthexton @Dee54321Dee @HomesEngland Same for me. They then chose to ignore their 3 month valuation rules, and when I said the value has likely gone down they said I can revalue but it would start the process again. Which is not what is in their documentation. Bullied us into going with it.

Ok found someone who might do a valuation… but given @HomesEngland won’t even accept rics president appointed valuations (which per contract are to be final)… do I take the £800 risk (on top of the various amounts already paid for valuations)…. #helptobuy
