Somalia welcomes constructive partnerships with all international partners on maritime security, counterterrorism, and Red Sea stability. But true partnership must respect Somalia’s sovereignty, constitutional order, and territorial integrity.
The narrative that Somalia can only contribute to regional security through fragmentation is historically false and strategically shortsighted. A stable, united Somalia is the strongest guarantor of long-term security across the Gulf of Aden and the Bab el-Mandeb corridor. Efforts that encourage secession may appear tactical in the short term, but they carry profound long-term risks for the Horn of Africa, the Red Sea, and international stability.

According to Business Insider Africa, the #Turkish government is planning to extract the uranium mineral reserves found in #Somalia, which are estimated to be around 10,200 tons.
Turkey, which has already been allowed to take 95% of the oil it extracts from the coast of Somalia, is now also making another plan to take control of valuable minerals, especially uranium, which is important for nuclear energy and weapons matters.
Somalia’s Minister of Energy, Dahir Shire Mohamed, said that they are interested in having Turkey extract the minerals in Somalia in order to strengthen cooperation between the two sides.
Turkey currently controls major economic facilities in Somalia such as the Port of Mogadishu, the airport, Digfeer Hospital, and oil extraction projects, while also moving forward to extract Somalia’s valuable mineral reserves.

16 Arab Islamic Countries Condemn Somaliland’s Opening of Purported Embassy in Jerusalem
Doha | May 24, 2026
The Ministers of Foreign Affairs of the State of Qatar, the Arab Republic of Egypt, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, the Republic of Türkiye, the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, the Republic of Indonesia, the Republic of Djibouti, the Federal Republic of Somalia, the State of Palestine, the Sultanate of Oman, the Republic of the Sudan, the Republic of Yemen, and the Lebanese Republic condemn in the strongest terms the illegal and unacceptable step taken by the so-called “Somaliland” region in opening a purported “embassy” in occupied Jerusalem. This constitutes a flagrant violation of international law and relevant international resolutions, and represents a direct infringement on the legal and historical status of occupied Jerusalem.
The Ministers reaffirm their categorical rejection of any unilateral measures aimed at entrenching an illegal reality in occupied Jerusalem or conferring legitimacy on any entities or arrangements that contravene international law and relevant United Nations resolutions. They reiterate that East Jerusalem has been occupied Palestinian territory since 1967, and that any measures intended to alter its legal and historical status are null and void and without legal effect.
The Ministers further emphasize their full support for the unity, sovereignty, and territorial integrity of the Federal Republic of Somalia, and their unequivocal rejection of any unilateral measures that undermine the unity of Somali territory or infringe upon its sovereignty.

Somalia’s never-aging warlord Sharif Sheikh is now threatening civilians with bullets. Alongside Deni, Sharif Sheikh has become one of the main local contractors of the UAE’s plan to divide Somalia. Step by step, Sharif Sheikh is moving toward becoming Somalia’s version of Hemedti.
There is only one problem: Somalia is no longer the same Somalia he left behind in 2012.

It’s not a “region,” it’s a state. Now, people can argue whether Somaliland having an embassy in Jerusalem is the right move or not, sure. But using the word “region” to condemn Somaliland for the 1000th time kind of defeats the purpose, no? At this point, with the sheer amount of condemnations, you’re leaving very little room for anything except unintentionally acknowledging Somaliland’s state existence. Common Somaliland W…

IMPORTANT FACT to know about #Somalia,
The red map is inhabited by the Isaaq clan, which is a small part of Somalia, most 30yrs The people of Somaliland are being held hostage by political business groups.
One tribe that can become a nation Somali people share one language one religion and culture etc, although Somalis are clan-based people, who live together as one family in Somalia, To the separatist one-clan enclave leader @Abdirahman irro in northwest Somalia aka Somaliland should know that, Somalia currently consists of the regions of Somaliland, Puntland, Jubbaland, Galmudug, Hirshabelle and South West State, and is governed by the central government of Somalia Even the Israeli intelligence community knows that Somaliland region never seceded from Somalia, but rather had geopolitical interests and the Middle East war behind Israel's false recognition of a region in Somalia
Our brotherly family of Isaaq resides on this red map They call themselves "Somaliland" only when in fact they are from a single Somali clan (Isaaq) Somalia The indiscriminate violation of Somalia's sovereignty and territorial integrity is not only unacceptable, but fundamentally flawed.
If one of them declares a nation, the others will follow suit, so any attempt to treat Somaliland as a unified and independent entity ignores the social, historical, and political realities on the ground. Somaliland is home to five major clans, yet only one clan, the Isaaq, seeks secession. Even then, the Isaaq do not represent the majority of the population. The Isaaq community makes up about 35% of Somaliland.
More than 55% of the land is inhabited by the Darood clan, one of Somalia’s major clans, who are deeply loyal to the Somali government. The Darood were among the first to resist European colonialism and were the first people in Africa to be bombed by the air in the early 1920s.
The Northeastern Government, loyal to Somalia, controls more than 55% of what is known as Somaliland and is a recognized Federal Member State of Somalia. In August 2023, the Somaliland forces were completely disarmed, and their military equipment was taken over by the Northeastern Regional State.
Awdal is inhabited by the Dir, Ciise, and Samaroon clans who have consistently affirmed their loyalty to Somalia.
These facts make it politically, socially, and legally impossible to justify external intervention or recognition schemes that undermine the unity of Somalia. Ignoring the wishes of the majority of clans and regions is not diplomatic; it is disorder.
Somalia’s independence is non-negotiable, and reckless violation will not change the realities on the ground

Somali opposition continues to turn the process into a farce. If you think handing five people a photo of Hassan Sheikh Mohamud and having one of them burn it will fool the West, you are deeply mistaken. Do these people really believe they elected the president themselves?
Shabelle Media Network@ShabelleMedia
BREAKING: A group of people protested against President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud in Mogadishu, with one protester burning a picture of him. “We don’t want a dictator. We don’t want an evictor. Your term has ended. Leave us,” they chanted.

⚡️👀New evidence has surfaced suggesting that the State of Israel was behind SNM. Furthermore, it appears that Isaaq Christian Zionist individuals played a crucial role in the recent recognition of the tribal separatist movement by Netanyahu.
