Cari bambini italiani, un sacco di persone, anche importanti, moltissimi giornali, politici, televisioni, e giornalisti, si stanno preoccupando per voi in questi giorni. Sono tutti terrorizzati dal fatto che ancora una volta non potrete vedere l'Italia ai mondiali di calcio. Lo so, sembra assurdo anche a voi, ma l'opinione pubblica, la politica, e i vertici delle istituzioni, non sono preoccupati per la scuola, l'università, lo studio, ma per le vostre estati senza gli azzurri del pallone. Cari bambini italiani, ci teniamo a rassicurarvi. Il calcio, che è uno sport bellissimo e il più seguito qui da noi, non è l'unica disciplina sportiva esistente. Non vi sono evidenze scientifiche che attestino che crescerete deviati, o con problemi psicologici, se vi emozionerete nel guardare anche gli atleti italiani che vincono nel tennis, nello sci, nell'atletica, nella pallavolo, nel nuoto, nell'automobilismo, nel motociclismo, nel pattinaggio di velocità, nello short track, nel curling, nella ginnastica, nella scherma, nel ciclismo (soprattuto su pista!), nel canottaggio, nel biathlon, e in tantissimi altri. Anche nel basket eh, perchè se è vero che in quello maschile non vinciamo nulla da quando la vostra mamma e il vostro papà si dovevano ancora conoscere (ma vi giuriamo, è comunque bellissimo e vale la pena seguirlo), in quello femminile abbiamo una nazionale favolosa! E questi sport non sono tutti dilettantistici come ha detto ieri quel signore a capo della Federazione del pallone: alcuni di questi, per legge, sono professionistici proprio come il giuoco del pallone, ed altri, se praticati a livello internazionale, sono inquadrati come super professionistici. Per intenderci, Sinner mica paga la quota per giocare come voi eh! E Kimi Antonelli non prende mica il rimborso spese per guidare ai 350 orari. Ah, e riguardo sempre a quello che ha detto il numero 1 della Federazione Calcio, Arianna Fontana non è mica una sciatrice. Anche se quando gareggia fa freddo ed è tutto bianco (ed è questo che avrà fatto confondere il presidente), sappiate che in quelle condizioni si possono praticare anche altri sport come ad esempio lo short track. E sappiate che Arianna Fontana è l'atleta italiana più medaglietta nella storia dello sport! Vi state chiedendo come sia possibile che un dirigente così importante si permetta di screditare gli altri sport senza nemmeno sapere quale che sport pratichi l'atleta che ci ha fatto vincere più medaglie di chiunque altro? Eh, bella domanda. In conclusione, cari bambini, non dovete temere nulla per due motivi principali: 1) potete alleviare le delusioni calcistiche con tante altre belle cose che accadono in altri sport 2) tra qualche giorno, quando non servirete più ad alimentare il vero sport nel quale primeggiamo nel mondo, ovvero la retorica, nessuno si preoccuperà più per voi
