@markgoldbridge Don't think the rules allow VAR to intervene after the referee had blown the whistle before the shot is taken. Also, I think the goalkeeper has control of the ball as before the AV player kick the ball, you would not expect the goalkeeper to lose the ball.

Leaves a horrible feeling this. I just don't understand why VAR hasn't told the ref it's not a foul and should be a goal for Villa. Feels dirty being the team benefiting from this. This ref should be demoted to pub league football

@Matthew_Mohan_ Unfortunately, the way the fixtures are organised, it always favour the top seed then the 2nd seed. The top seed rest on MD 2 and plays the 2nd seed on MD3 at home after the 2nd seed had played 2 games in succession. The 2nd seed then rest MD4 and plays 3rd seed at home on MD5.

@markgoldbridge I think it is slightly more complicated than simply picking your best 11. What is a best 11? Not just based on form but also to take into account fitness levels and ability to carry out the game plan. Near the end of the game, some players were just muscled off the ball. Fitness?

Despite all Ten Hag's bad decisions it was actually two shocking individual errors - Maguire first half and Dalot vacating his left back position at the end - that cost us. I'm gutted but turning it in to sacking the manager is crazy. We just need to pick our best eleven

@UTDTrey Personally would give Shaw and Anthony another season as I think it would be close to impossible to sign so many replacements in a summer. We will need a new signing every other week during the transfer window to have enough players to start the season if we let all of them go.
