When Sean and Liam’s father passed away suddenly at Anfield, Sean stepped up to be a father figure at just 13 years old. He’s gone on to suffer further loss in his life but always remained strong and been there to help others.

@m_brosnan Amendment to the goalkeeper rule:
If the goalkeeper receives the ball inside the attacking half, he cannot pass the ball directly to a teammate unless it is for an advanced mark.
ie. The keeper either takes a shot at goal, or plays a long pass that is likely to be contested.

Watched this game back today. Stunned there isn't more talk about that spell (poor Roscommon). Meath down to 14 kept-ball for just under four minutes by bringing their goalkeeper up to make it 12v11. Goalkeeper had 10 possessions alone during that spell.

Asked Down boss Conor Laverty after the game on Saturday why his side had sat in so deep and allowed Meath’s goalkeeper to dictate. The answer was fairly obvious but good to hear it from a manager’s perspective and explaining things that might not always make sense to fans 👇

@m_brosnan Agreed. Might be too radical for the decision makers in Congress. But the best opportunity for any sort of radical rule change is with the FRC. Don't imagine many opportunities in the near future for big rule changes after their recommendations.

@timwowtim Yeah would be a game changer. I don’t know if there would be enough support for such an extreme version but a more robust tackle would still have a huge impact
