@Zephyrnix_ @AaronGreyUnger Yes, for sure, they don’t *need* ID to censor or anything.
My main concern is how much worse this will become.
I did not expect this to get more than 20 views. I’m 18, I don’t pretend to know everything, I’m just expressing a concern

@Noor_photos That’s a valid point, I do agree social media is not the best for teens(I’m recently 18, so I can “confirm” in a way).
However, it’s really unfortunate due to the fact I’m trying to do all my hobbies, which require social media for marketing. It’s simply something I can’t avoid

@typicyl Same. TBH maybe this is how I fix my social media addiction - nothing of value will be lost.
As a former teacher though we absolutely should get our teens off these sites. It was a nightmare what it did to them, from bullying to crazy trend contests.. it’s super damaging.

@AaronGreyUnger Appreciate your input - although it’s true that various things do track us across our lives, the difference is this can set a dangerous precedent where everything we say is tracked and linked, and if we say something they deem “hateful” or something, it could have repercussions

@lekatseye I appreciate your POV - I did not expect this post to get as big as it did.
I’ve never had to verify via ID on LinkedIn, I do not use dating apps, however it’s a different cause for that one due to 18+ nature. Student discounts are for school - issued ID’s, not government ones

@DHuskytron It’s never a good idea. One government got away with it, now the others are following suit. So yes - don’t do it

Today, my first website and studio attempt has come to a close. Tornado Games Studios is officially done as the domain expires today. I reflect with fondness about all I've accomplished with it. I look forward to taking what I learned there, and applying it in the next project.
