The Eagles new coaching staff with titles is now on the team’s media guide Most are as expected. Clint Hurtt gets a well-earned assistant head coach title. Jerrod Johnson is a Senior Offensive Assistant/Special Project for the Head Coach (H/t @igglesnut)

@SportsRadioWIP @WIPMorningShow Jon Ritchie needs to go. His negativity and dated expertise is starting to show. It’s amazing that Joe who never played the game continues to have a better handle on the Eagles than a former player does. The comments that Ritchie says are moronic. Replace him with Jason Avant.

Terrible break for the Eagles So close to getting next week at home with a win tomorrow Instead they now would have to go to Chicago — the No. 1 toughest game they’d have to play in the postseason imo Brutal #🥶 #💨 #❄️

Eagles 17, Washington 24: Report Card Worst possible outcome Lions lose, Eagles had a shot at the No. 2 seed and blew it Massive, massive missed chance. The road to the Super Bowl just got harder.

Two keys to a victory for Eagles today: 1) Run the ball. Build on the success of last week. Tank game? 2) Get an early lead. Make the 2-11 Raiders quit in this miserable weather #❄️

I believe Eagles roster is at 52 players after acquiring Phillips, Carter and Alexander. That is without BG, Nolan Smith or Bennett on roster They will need to waive or trade two players to fit all three on the roster Dillon, P. Johnson, B. Young, Pryor seem most likely

Some thoughts on the Eagles trading for Jaire Alexander: ** Alexander is a player I thought the Eagles should go after this past offseason. He ended up with the Ravens, but barely played, logging only 61 snaps. I liked the idea of going after Alexander then as a lottery ticket type signing — a low money chance that he hits on the high-level player he used to be. Doing it in season after a disappointing stint with the Ravens makes the move less exciting than it would have this past offseason, but the logic in getting Alexander is mostly the same — a low cost chance he hits on being a high-level player. ** No question Alexander used to be very good. A 2x Pro Bowl and 2x All-Pro player. The issue is that was all from 2020-2022. It’s now 2025. Alexander has played 16 total games the last three seasons due to a combination of knee and shoulder injuries. He was a healthy scratch with the Ravens. ** Alexander has actually played pretty well when he has been out on the field. The Ravens wanted him for a reason. It didn’t work out there, but that doesn’t mean it can’t work with the Eagles. He was the 10th rated CB in 2024 per PFF. He was 23rd in 2023. Those are on somewhat small sample sizes — less than 400 snaps each season. But still a sign the potential is there. ** The good news is the Eagles don’t need him to be an elite player for an entire season or multiple seasons. They got him for a 6th round pick. They need him to be good for like 10 games including the playoffs. That feels worth a 7th round pick. ** The Eagles have really tried to remake their secondary since training camp. Jakorian Bennett, Michael Carter and now Jaire Alexander. They’ve traded almost nothing to acquire those players, but not the ideal strategy for a Super Bowl contender. ** This probably ends the idea that Cooper DeJean is going to the outside. Alexander won’t be given the job but they will probably want it to be Quinyon and Alexander on the outside with Cooper at nickel.

I usually think trading 3 first-round picks for any position other than a QB is bad business But: This season This team This player Eagles should do it for Myles Garrett

@EliotShorrParks Would love to see BG again but I doubt he’s in shape for it. Also coming off a bicep that was torn twice last year.

Eagles EDGE rusher Za’Darius Smith has abruptly retired from the NFL, making the shocking announcement on Monday Some thoughts: ** Smith retiring is a blow to an Eagles EDGE group that was already under performing and short on talent. Smith had played well for the team so far and was 3rd in QB pressures despite not playing in Week 1 ** Smith was counted to be a veteran leader in an EDGE room that was built around young talent. Losing him as a veteran voice also hurts that room. ** The team’s current group of EDGEs heading into Sunday vs. Minnesota are now Jaylx Hunt, Josh Uche, Azeez Ojulari and Patrick Johnson. Nolan Smith remains on IR. The five players have a combined 1 sack (from Johnson) ** The question now isn’t whether the Eagles make a trade for an EDGE — it is who they trade for and how much they are willing to pay. They might even need multiple moves at the position before the trade deadline. #Eagles #EaglesNation @sportsradio94wip
