@AlisonMoyet Even if you looked like a bag of spanners, bursting at the seams; if you can still sing, we'd still want to hear and see you. We're sure this will be a comfort to you 😊

It’s distressing to see innumerable touting sites and chancers buy up face value gig tickets to sell to fans for exorbitant profit. Dont get fleeced. Let ‘em keep ‘em. I’d rather play to empty rooms than have you shafted. Legislation is paramount. @Twickets is your friend.

@MartinSLewis Coronation Street, as there are fewer homicidal maniacs on the cobbles and, people actually laugh about stuff there, too.

Today's FRIDAY Poll: New compulsory national soap service means you must live inside a TV soap for 6 months. It’s all real, all the characters, all the chaos. At least you can pick which 1 of these 4. Do pls explain your choice by reply too And no you can't have Neighbours!

@Jesse_Brenneman Slight deviation, but if your voice is your work, ‘Straw blowing’ was a late revelation for me, it being travel friendly too. Hum through a bog-standard straw. Sliding around scales and tunes for half an hour before you’re on. It’s a miraculous warm up.

Ps. I’m not even mildly upset, I’m just knackered. Repetition. It’s like working on the belts, and yes, I have. Yardleys. 1978. I quite liked it actually. This, wah wah wah, not so much.

Posting on here can be like serving dinner to a host. 10 minutes joined at the table, then relentless hours of cleaning up followed by the vow to ‘never again’. To err might be human, but it’s also idiotic. I’m going for a lie down.

@therecsuk @edfringe Shocking. Not exactly surprising, though, unfortunately. Hopefully @freefringe can secure the venues to support as many as possible, as that instantly takes venue costs out of the equation. Come on, Edinburgh - support the REAL Fringe!

Quite a blow for would-be #EdFringe performers hoping to benefit from the Keep It Fringe grants of £2500 to assist their @edfringe journey. While last year, there were 180 beneficiaries out of 848 applications, this year will be just 12 awards available. The vertiginous reduction of grants comes after the UK government funding that sustained it through the last two years has been exhausted.
