If she is Egyptian. I thought she was Moroccan, I was wrong. Then I don't see an issue with this. I've been to Egypt & saw Egyptians in all shades of colour. Those in the North are lighter skinned whilst those in the South are darker skinned. It makes sense due to the geography.

personal update: I’m leaving Anthropic 🧵 After an incredible 0 hours at Anthropic, I’ve made the difficult decision to move on. This wasn’t an easy choice. Since joining (walking past the office at 12:07pm), I’ve had the privilege of learning from some of the brightest minds I could see through the window. When I arrived, I knew almost nothing about transformer architectures. I still don’t. But I leave with something even more valuable: hunger. A few lessons I’ll carry with me: You miss 100% of the burritos you don’t take. p(doom) remains uncertain, p(hunger) has achieved superhuman performance. The hardest alignment problem was aligning my lunch schedule with my stomach. AGI may be years away, but a pastrami sandwich is available right now. I’m deeply grateful to everyone who shaped this journey, especially the security guard who briefly made eye contact with me. What’s next? I’m excited to announce that I’ve joined a stealth-stage startup. It’s currently pre-seed, pre-revenue, and pre-order. Some would call it a noodle shop. I can’t share many details yet, but we’re building at the frontier of broth. The mission remains the same: bringing nutritious intelligence to every bowl. To everyone still at Anthropic: keep pushing the boundaries of what’s possible. To everyone in line behind me: please stop pushing. Onward. 🚀 (also the noodle place is hiring)

You have to be careful. If you're brilliant you set the terms. One team I'm mentoring, only had an idea and raised at a $6 million dollar valuation, got their seed money $250k from a VC. No board seat. The CEO is 29 the CTO is 20. I CEO feels old LOL. Their valuation 6 months later is now at about $30 million.

VCs told me they don't fund founders over 30. They're half right — old experience in the AI era can be a cage. Assume everything you know is wrong. Rebuild from first principles. Cross-functional teams → AI agents. That transfers. Everything else? Leave it behind.
