These are the current results for Boulder's first RCV election. These results are unofficial as they wait for more ballots to be counted.
After two rounds, Bob Yates is currently in the lead. rcvis.com/v/city-of-boul…
@rcvisdotcom Thanks for these great visualizations! But I don't see any way to show each of the rounds individually, rather than rolling them up in a batch elimination. If RCViz is given sequential elimination data, is it able to give viewers the option of seeing the more compact batch views?
@rcvisdotcom One of the benefits of improved voting methods is providing the public and political scientists with much greater insights into voter preferences. I think having access to all the transfer data for each candidate elimination is valuable in understanding our democracy.
@nealmcb RCVis shows whatever the tabulator does. In this case, the tabulator uses batch elimination, so we have no way of "opening up" what happened during the batch. The data just isn't available.
@nealmcb When the Cast Vote Records are released, they can be run through a tabulator without batch elimination, and those results can be uploaded to RCVis to visualize and analyze -- but that data will only be for instructional purposes, and not the true certified result data.
