If SVG had to pick one guy in the history of the NBA right now, he’s going with Jokic.
He explains to @ZachLowe_NBA why Jokic might be the best player in NBA history.
@ringer@ZachLowe_NBA Just a random thought but is it just me or do white great players always get a pass for being poor defenders? Who was the last white MVP level player who was a good defender? Bird???
@ringer@ZachLowe_NBA Any time there is a good white player, white people start saying the dumbest shit imaginable
Jokic has only made 1 finals in a decade
SMH.
@ringer@ZachLowe_NBA Disagree obviously but glad he compared the evolution of the game to track/swimming and he’s right about the top 20 guys all being modern players.
This idea that every sport has evolved but basketball is asinine when it’s so apparent to anyone who actually watches the game.
@ringer@ZachLowe_NBA The answer is, if you can clone 1 player and have a team composed only of 5 of that exact same man playing all the positions, who would you close.
Jordan and Kobe can’t be as they would get bullied and have trouble at center, and miss passing. IMO it has to be LeBron or Jokic
@ringer@ZachLowe_NBA Dropping players from back in the day into today only serves those players. You’re giving them knowledge & strategy they didn’t have before.
The logic doesn’t serve sending people to past eras. How would Kobe Bryant play basketball if you dropped him in an era before MJ existed?
@ringer@ZachLowe_NBA Helllllll nawwwwwwww nba made these overseas players great …. Made it’s always gotta be stars cuz they make em stars wake up people
@ringer@ZachLowe_NBA yt sports writers seing a yt guy who can hoop will always lead to wild takes like this. Just wait when those writers say "Flagg might be already better than young Bron" as soon as he averages 20+
@ringer@ZachLowe_NBA take a amazing offensive center who plays no defense over like at least 5 other dudes that were amazing offensively AND demons defensively lol what a joke
@ringer@ZachLowe_NBA Amazing how we went from embiid is better, he cooks jokic every time they play to he's the greatest of all time
Watching him vs a healthier Embiid is a reminder of a watered down big era due to small ball, pace and spacing, etc. I can say that his passing would work in any era.
