I wonder how this claim about Tolkien got started. I hate superfluous text as much as anyone, and loathe Tolkien’s songs (for instance) but I do not see any case where he over-describes.
Like when he describes Minas Tirith, it’s all apropos of what is at risk & what will be happening in the next section.
Heck, Lovecraft would make a better foil for over-description.

Eventually the bill comes due, even with generous ESG-discounted bank loans to finance woke products sold to an absent "modern audience". Selling products that actually make money is the only way to pay debts without folding the company. Income is income. I expect Custodes lore to continue to suffer as a sacred cow until it is abandoned for later or shaved down to fit the round hole as a square peg. Someone has to give under the pressure to perform and customers ultimately have the final say on where they send their dollars and for which products. GW better get aligned with customers before they lose more of them permanently.

When a medieval skeleton is dug up on a battlefield we can tell if it was a longbowman because the collarbones are thick and deformed.
Longbowmen famously had barrel chests and were used to police and discipline other troops because of their unnatural upper body strength.

@vapertvaping I think they need a conscript unit as like a "serf guard" or something like that, and a bit of a fleshed oit roster thats more than just the mechs. While i love the knights aesthetics, fucking HELL is it painful to fight them with a low-AT army
