Sometimes male anger at ‘women getting special treatment’ reminds me of a gorilla experiment. One gorilla gets a banana every hour. The females next to him get one every four hours. Then someone decides to be fairer and gives the females a banana every two hours instead. The original gorilla? He flips out. He's still getting his banana every hour, but it feels like a loss because his advantage shrank. That's how a lot of men react to basic fairness for women: not as justice, but as theft.

If women left the workforce they would be economically dependent on men again, which means they would have to go back to being treated however men decided to treat them with no way to escape it. Men who hate that women have options don’t plan on treating women well.

@Debss2500 When my neighbour looks after my pets while we're away, I give her a thank you gift of some sort. We are good neighbours, favours (and thank you gifts) go both ways. E.g. I built her a 1 page website for free, I print out documents, mend her jewellery... It works nicely 😊

Ok, is it me...if someone asks you to go to their house on Sat and Sun to feed their pets, would you expect them to at least take you for a coffee to say thanks?
